COSMIC ( Community of Self-Managed and Innovative Companies), set up in 2018, is a community of entrepreneurs, leaders and consultants who are believers of democratic management. The community advocates self-management as the management approach for the future of work. Once a month, the community meets to learn from invited practising leaders. It helps them understand how different organizations have adopted and implemented self-management practices.
Our speakers have been leaders from a wide range of industries – Manufacturing, IT, Chartered Accountant Firms, Engineering Design, Back Office Support, Pharma, and Consulting.
To name a few speakers at these sessions, we had Doug Kirkpatrick of Morning Star ( Tomato processing, US) who spoke on the founding principles and how they are implemented, Guru Prasad M, Co-Founder CEO of Guru & Jana Chartered Accountants spoke on setting up a transparent organization from the start, Lara Yumi Tsuji Bezerra spoke about cultural transformation at Roche Pharma, Shivakumara Swamy JP, Co-founder & COO of SANRIA Engineering shared their journey of transformation to self-management.
The audience is anyone who is interested in the concept of self-management comprising argely of founders, senior leaders of startups and small or medium-sized organizations and independent consultants who are either looking at adopting an agile way of working in their organization or are helping other organizations become democratic.
The session is held on 1st Friday evening of the month, online on zoom with a 45 min speaker session followed by 15 min of Q&A
